Hi, my name is Paul Waye and I am the self titled... "hardest working plogger in the world". I seem to spend all my time living up to that label. Haha.

It all started back in Sept 2011 when I made my first social media post (a tweet) about picking up trash on my run. Since then, plogging has become a major part of my life and I now pick up trash on every sporty activity I do (even marathons). I like to say that running is my passion, but plogging is my commitment.

I run nearly every day (4,000km a year) and just during my runs I pick up well over 100kg a month. Picking even a single piece of trash makes an impact, but letting people see you do it makes an even bigger one, so I use Instagram and YouTube as an opportunity to inspire. That could be by recreating a movie poster each Saturday and giving it a plogging twist (so instead of Forest Gump I remade it to Plogging Gump). Or doing something crazy like celebrating my 10th anniversary as a plogger by running 100 km and picking up trash the whole way (21 hrs, 360 kg). I don't do it so that people do the same amount as me, but in the hope that it inspires them to do a little bit.

What else is important to know? I'm an ex-Brit living in the Netherlands (I'm now officially Dutch). I'm married with two kids.. and am at the time of writing.. I'm 55years old.

My day job? As much as I would love to do this full time (do you know any billionaires who would help me? Haha), I actual have a normal job (IT business analyst).

Claim to fame? Last year I came second in the Plogging World Championships!
